David Tauscher, a Kansas native has been privately teaching piano in the Kansas City Area since 1992. Prior to then he spent seven years as a teacher affiliated with the American School in Taipei, Taiwan. David Has held board positions locally with Kansas City Music Teachers Association (KCMTA) and currently he is the VP of Auditions for the Kansas Music teachers Association (KMTA), a position that he has held for 13 years. In addition to serving on the state board he holds the State Competition Chair and facilitates the MTNA Junior and Senior level competitions for Kansas. Since 2012 David Has held the position of Junior Competitions Coordinator for the West Central division of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association). In 2006 David was honored to receive the KMTA “Outstanding Service Award”
David received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Wichita State University and earned his Master of Music at the University of Northern Colorado. David was an active performer during his graduate years as well as the years spent teaching in Taiwan. Now David dedicates his time strictly to the art of teaching.
